Backend Developer (HK$40K - $50K) (Ref. No.: 27481)
Our client is a well-established Public Utility company; they are urgently looking for a Backend Developer to take up the new role.
Job Duties
- Design and Development: Develop and maintain backend services and APIs to support various applications.
- System Analysis: Analyze system requirements and design scalable and efficient solutions.
- Database Management: Design, implement, and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- AI Integration: Integrate Gen AI services into backend systems.
- Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, BA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development and system analysis.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in server-side languages such as .Net, Java, Python, Node.js, or Ruby.
- Experience with database technologies like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cosmo DB.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, On-prem).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
