Legal Counsel, Banking (HK$70K - $120K) (Ref. No.: 26500)
Our client, a Leading Bank, is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.
Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive legal advisory services and oversee legal matters for the Bank Group
- Review / draft term sheets, confirmations, commercial contracts and all other relevant documents for all-rounded banking business transactions
- Provision of internal legal support to banking operations of various divisions
- Keep update and conduct research on rules and regulations
- Liaise with business units and counterparties on specialized legal work
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations across the Bank Group
Job Requirements
- University degree holder with major in Law or relevant disciplines
- Hong Kong Qualified Solicitor is a MUST
- Solid Legal experience from Banking and Finance Sectors
- Knowledge in Hong Kong and China Commercial Laws including Banking related areas OR
- Knowledge of HKMA / SFC regulations / Banking Ordinance / Companies Ordinance
- Can write Chinese
- Self-initiative, independent with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to exercise judgment, work under pressure and liaise effectively with the business and supporting units
- Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English including Cantonese and Mandarin
