Our client, a Public Listed Company, is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the overall design and implementation of the database for the system with application and data migration support for Cloud projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of database administrators, providing guidance and support on best practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Monitor database performance and optimize as necessary to ensure efficiency.
- Oversee database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to support application development and deployment.
- Implement and enforce database policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present reports on database performance and team activities to management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with 2+ years experience in leadership role is preferable.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc).
- Experience with database performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) will be add advantage
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Powershell, etc) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
