Senior Finance Manager – Financial Accounting (HK$65K - $80K) (Ref. No.: 27718)
Our client, a Chinese Bank is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.
Job Duties
- Lead financial control and reporting functions of the Bank, overseeing financial reporting, financial controls and operations
- Developing, enhancing, and implementing accounting policies, monitoring procedures, and controls, including oversight of daily accounting operations (journal entries, reconciliations, financial consolidation process, balancing, verification, and monitoring) to ensure statement accuracy
- Managing bank expense payments and budget driven cost controls
- Assess, implement and enhance accounting system and accounting policies, driving process improvement
- Ensure all financial records comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and bank policies
- Mentor and coach team members, driving process improvements, and enhancing operational efficiency
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors as needed
Job Requirements
- University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
- Qualified accountant with over 10 years' of relevant experience in bank accounting management, of which 5 years in managerial role
- Strong knowledge of banking financial accounting principles, transaction processing, risk controls, and research capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of banking operations with proven ability to apply complex accounting standards to banking business
- Proven track record in designing and improving accounting monitoring frameworks and supervisory protocols
- Experience supporting banking business growth through process simplification, operational risk management, and robust internal control frameworks
- Excellent analytical, coordination, communication, and time management skills
- Proactive, positive attitude with strong sense of ownership
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
