Senior System Administrator (HK$50K - $60K+) (Ref. No.: 27332)
Our client, a public sector is looking for high-calibre person to fill the position.
Job Duties
- Design, implementation, testing, deployment, support and maintenance of email system with internal and central services
- Review and improve AD infrastructure, DNS and related platforms; maintain and tune Directory Services, DNS and server clustering for reliability and performance.
- Administer multi forest / domain AD environments and perform daily operational checks to verify system integrity and availability.
- Design, deploy and troubleshoot enterprise Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Build and maintain test environments for change validation and rollout.
- Create, maintain and run automation scripts (PowerShell and others) to streamline routine support tasks and upgrades.
- Monitor AD and Windows server health using custom and commercial monitoring tools; respond to alerts to avoid service impact.
- Lead server patch management, resource optimization and Windows Server upgrades.
- Support security activities including Security Risk Assessment & Audit (SRAA) and collaborate with security teams to apply controls.
- Assist with IT project coordination and vendor management; prepare required deliverables and liaise with stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned; demonstrate initiative, ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4 years post qualification IT experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role supporting enterprise AD / Windows environments.
- At least 4 years hands on experience in Microsoft Active Directory implementation, management, support and upgrade.
- At least 4 years hands on experience with enterprise DNS, GPOs and cross forest / domain AD support.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Windows Server platforms (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022).
- Experience in Security Risk Assessment & Audit (SRAA) activities.
- Strong understanding of core networking and DNS principles, server clustering, Distributed File System (DFS) and virtualization technologies.
- Proven experience with server monitoring tools and operational incident response.
- Experience in private cloud environment is preferrable
- Good command of spoken and written English.
