Senior Technical System Engineer (DCO & IT Infrastructure) (HK$55K - $70K) (Ref. No.: 27105)
Our client is a HK listed public utility company; they are urgently looking for an IT infrastructure professional to take up the new role.
Job Duties
- Engage intensively in the design and acceptance of data centre relocation project.
- Prepare various project documents such as testing specification and detail acceptance criteria.
- Need to work onsite in colocation data centre for acceptance tests, setup, troubleshooting and so on when it is deemed necessary.
- Liaise and coordinate cross-departmental stakeholders to support data centre project.
- Hands-on support of Backup & Recovery System (BRS) infrastructure as well as day-to-day backup jobs support when necessary.
- Build backup inventory for cross-checking, etc.
- Handle of Change, Problem, and Incident such as failed backup jobs follow-up, etc.
Job Requirements
- Higher Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experiences in IT Infrastructure and/or data centre operation / projects with sound technical skills at supervisory level in the past 3 years.
- Possession of certificates such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) v7.0 or above, Veritas NetBackup certificate, Veeam certificate, etc., are advantages.
- Self-initiative and work with passion, a can-do attitude with strong ownership.
- Sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills of NetBackup, Veeam and Azure backup.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet defined schedule / deadline and KPIs.
- Good team player, good interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese preferably including Putonghua.
- Good attitude and cross-team collaboration work.
- Possession of related IT certification is an advantage.
