Senior Underwriting Manager (HK$55K - $65K) (Ref. No.: 27187)
Our client, a Chinese based Life Insurance Company is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.
Job Duties
- Act as a team leader to supervise daily operations of Life underwriting and new business process
- Perform risk assessment within authorized authority limits
- Ensure all underwriting activities are in full compliance with Company standards and regulatory requirements of the respective regulators
- Review and enhance the new business and underwriting guidelines and procedural workflow to maintain sound productivity and efficiency
- Provide good quality, professional response to both internal and external stakeholders
- Execute process streamline and service improvement initiatives
- Provide comments and advices on product development from an underwriting perspective
- Support talent development by developing and delivering coaching and training to Underwriters
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Degree holder with professional qualification such as FLMI / ICA
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Life underwriting, with project handling experience will be an added advantage
- Familiar with regulatory requirements related to underwriting risk assessment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and leadership skills
- Competent PC knowledge including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and spoken in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
